45-46 Loveday Street

Built in the 1790s, this area of The Gun Quarter originated as terraced domestic workshops, and still retains some of the original features. Already, we've met people who lived here as children and whose grandparents ran grocers' shops and other retail outlets. There are people still working in this relatively little known 'quarter' of inner city Birmingham who are third or fourth generation in the same business.
SO ACCESSIBLE!
Just 10 minutes walk from SNOW HILL STATION and 5 minutes from Aston University main entrance, Loveday Street also contains partners TRILBY MULTIMEDIA, with whom we undertake new ventures in education. Our 'SUSMAC' themed, integrated, approach to dealing with environmental issues has already been tested successfully in Primary and Secondary schools, and can be adapted for business and community programmes.
FIRST PHASE - JUST SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH CAR SEAT BELTS, TRUCK TYRES, AND VIRGIN ATLANTIC SEAT COVERS!
The 3 storey Eco Centre contains a retail outlet for selected quality products in either recycled materials (Terra Plana footwear and bags), or sustainable, such as Pelcor's incredible cork fabric fashion items. (see photo attached)
COURSES AND FACILITIES
There are meeting rooms and a craft room, and office and internet facilities available to associated groups.
In association with WEA we are launching a 5 session course entitled
SUSTAINABLE LIVING
